Will I be allowed in Brazil (90/180/365 days)

Hello,

I have a US passport and I'm a little worried about my future travel coming up to Brazil and whether I would be allowed in the country or not. Tickets are booked for May 11 to June 1 2024.

I have traveled to Brazil five times since my first entry on July 9, 2023. Each stay was less than 3 weeks total. First four stays were in 2023, and the fifth was in 2024. First stay was 15 days from July 9 to July 23. Second stay was from August 12 to August 27 for 15 days. Third stay was from September 15 to September 30 for 15 days. Fourth stay was from November 24 to December 16 for 24 days. 5th stay was from March 16 to April 5 in 2024 for 21 days.

In total I have already spent almost 90 days in Brazil in less than one year from my first entry in Brazil. I wanted to know if the limit was 90 days in 180 days or is 90 days in 365 days.

If its 90 days allowed in 180 days, then I should be fine since 180 days back from next entry on May 11, 2024 will be November 7, 2023 and I have only spent about 45 days since.

If its 90 days in 365 days allowed then I would have to request permission from federal police. I am not in Brazil at the moment so how would I do the interview? Can my fiancé who is already living in Brazil, get the permission for me?

So I just want to clear up whether its 90 days in 180 days or 90 days in 365 days.

Thank you very much!

TLDR: You're fine.

It's 180 days in the year starting from your first entry in that 365/366 day period.  No stay can be more than 90 consecutive days unless you go to the PF and get an extension.
