Hi there my name is Nicole. I currently live in Texas and have goals to relocate to Santo Domingo. I would like to open a nail salon but of course have questions. Does a nail tech need a license/ certification to be able to work in the industry?

You need to have a cedula to work here. That requires a work visa, which you won't get as a nail tech, or residency, which is nearly impossible to get if you need to work.

Welcome to the forumd. Opening a nail salon would be easy. Making a living will be tough. I just got a full manicure with gel polish - total cost including tip was US 11!
