Hello, my husband and I are moving to PR from the US and would like to know if anyone has any insight on the private health insurance plans in PR or know of a reputable health insurance broker in PR. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Triple S is equal to Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
You can purchase a plan on the internet. Be aware that it starts on the first of the NEXT month of purchase.
i would purchase before you arrive, just so you have coverage; but the health costs here are very reasonable

We have Triple S but my husband has retiree benefits from USPS and it's very reasonable compared to when we had BCBS in states. We pay $2.00 for most medications, $7.50 for doctors specialists included, $25 ER, $0 hospital admission or surgery & paid les than $100 for cataract surgery. Total cost is $200 less per month than what we used to have. We've been happy with doctors it covers, etc. Main issue here is how long it takes to get appt, wait times & emergency care not being what we are used to from states. The lack of resources, supplies & help in hospitals is scary.
