I bought an apartment in Orascom Makadi. As the offer to refurbish it from the Orascom was outrageously expensive, i'll try to arrange it myself with the help of a friend. I planned a month there to solve everything. So I need some advice on the following:
1. Can you recommend a good quality/reasonable priced kitchen furniture supplier? Ikea Egypt has almost nothing in stock.
2. Can you recommend a good quality/reasonable priced metal workshop?
3.Can you recommend a good quality/reasonable priced woodwork workshop?
4. Can you recommend a good quality/reasonable priced plumber?
5. Can you recommend a good quality/reasonable priced shop where to buy the air conditioning who can also install them?
6. Are there any big shops for DIY projects? (I'll have to buy a water filtration system, paint & related, tiles and adhesives etc)
By reasonable priced I mean not more expensive then in the EU.
7. Regarding cars: is it or is it not possible to import from the EU and register my car in Egypt? (Subaru Impreza 4WD, 14 years old).
I do not have residency, just tourist visa.
