Hi Forum

We are a married couple, both aged 54 from York, England. We are considering making our move of a lifetime and seek our paradise of a much warmer and laid back lifestyle to live in and maybe get employment in as well.

Having visited many other places in recent years we find ourselves continually pulled towards Vanuatu, maybe it's the climate and beautiful scenery?.

However what we really need to know is the honest and unbiased opinions of expats whom may of been in the same situation as us, live in Vanuatu and can give us unbiased opinions.

Please message us anything you believe will be helpful as it will be very much appreciated.

Many Thanks

Nick & Sarah Bradley

One thing every expat should do is look at crime stats, especially drug crime.

Low crime rates tend to increase your chances of a happy life.

Another couple of points are political stability, official corruption that might involve expats (immigration?) and, sadly, geopolitics that could see military action or financial sanctions of whatever sort.

The weather could also be an issue to consider.

A little time with google is in order as a starter.

Thank you for your reply, we have checked your link regarding the crime states and to be honest we believe it to be very good overall.

Once again thanks for your information and opinion.
